Kristen Miller is sentenced.

Miller, and her boyfriend Ortega Stubbs, left four dogs abandoned at a house in Palm Bay: Two dogs tied in the yard, two pups in the house. No food or water for any of the dogs.

The two adult dogs were returned to Miller by the County.

Arrested for abandoning a momma dog and her litter as well as an adult male dog. They were left at a house with what reports say had no food or water for any of the dogs.

All dogs were taken to the county shelter in Melbourne, FL.

Tacke is scheduled for arraignment on April 14, 2011 at 8:00 AM.

Abuser of hedgehog gets probation and community service

James Griffin abandoned his pet hedgehog in an apartment with no food or water. Hedgehog was found with rubberbands around her back feet causing causing loss of circulation and infection to both back feet. One of the feet was black. The little pet was found by the apartment manager. When Griffin returned to the vacant apartment for an appliance he was asked about the hedgehog. When he heard the hedgehog was still alive he wanted the hedgehog back.

The Palm Bay police report indicates Griffin stated, laughingly, he used rubberbands on the hedgehog's feet cause he used her as a bowling ball.

Griffin pled Nolo Contendere. Adjucation was withheld. He is sentenced to 100 hours of community service and three years probation, according to Brevard County court records.

Comins case has been dismissed

Orlando Judge Bob LeBlanc has dismissed the case based on the good defense for killing dogs statute.

Unknown at this time why the shooter is allowed to shoot his gun while a non threatening person is entering the range of fire.

This is the second, known, incident involving Comins and his seemingly reckless gun use around people.

Kristen Miller and Otega Stubbs arrested for animal abuse

Two adult Rotties and two puppies found at an abandoned house in Palm Bay.

Otega Stubbs, 37, was arrested and is facing four counts of confinement of animals without food or water. Kristen Miller, 38, was arrested and faces the same charges as Stubbs, with an additional charge of cruelty to animals because she owned the dogs.

Miller claims financial difficulties and according to news reports her mother was tending to the dogs every couple of days.

All four dogs were taken to the Brevard County Animal shelter in Melbourne.

Comins case continues Tuesday 9:30 AM, and rest of week

More witnesses to hear from.

Trial for the Comins case is Monday, January 10.

Christopher Comins was video taped shooting two pet Husky dogs in a field. The owner of the dogs, Chris Butler, called out asking Comins to stop shooting. Comins shot one of the dogs again, while the dog was down and while Butler was approaching the dog.

Christopher Comins has influential acquaintances in the Orlando area. This case has dragged out for years. The defense has testimony scheduled by a citizen to establish that the shooter was suffering from tunnel vision during the shooting.
